The Brazilian company OXITEC commits to sustainable raw materials derived from renewable sources. In a patented process they derive useful raw materials and additives for the rubber industry from paper pulp process.

‘Oxi-Rubber’ is an innovative and eco-friendly product, being a combination of alkaline earth carbonates, amorphous silica and inorganic sulfur components. Oxi-Rubber is a valid alternative to be used as vulcanization activator in the rubber sulfur curing process, either in combination with reduced amounts of ZnO or even efficient as sole activation agent.
